Olmsted Performing Arts began with theater classes held at the Olmsted Community Center in 2003 culminating in its first production, The Sound of Music, that summer. Soon after, shows began to sell out, and it was obvious that a bigger space was needed. Auditions and rehearsals are now held at the Olmsted Performing Arts Center (OPAC). Since its beginning, OPA has grown to attract over 100 youth at each audition, a staff of over 40, a crew of wonderful volunteers, and a growing audience.
